Prdx365: Genesis

As we begin the third quarter in our daily bible reading plan, Prdx365, we will go back to the Old Testament to study Genesis. It will be interesting and informative to study the beginning of creation and the patriarchs while we also preach through the end times depicted in Revelation.

In this section of Genesis we see God’s original design for the world and the rebellion that leads to our separation from God. The stories that follow in Genesis showcase how every type of human relationship is now broken as a result of sin. Genesis also provides the background for the Messianic title, the “Son of Abraham,” which refers to the covenant promises made to Abraham and fulfilled in Jesus. We will continue working through Psalms, finishing book 4 (chapters 90-106) and much of book 5 (chapters 107-150).
